Meet the Crew: Cassandra Rodriguez

Cassandra Rodriguez, Post-Production Supervisor for “Little t“

1. What was your favorite part of the post-production process?

Post-production by nature is such a fun and rewarding process. You're taking this story that so many creatives and artists have put a lot of work into, that is nearly complete in all its individual parts, and you get to help guide all those puzzle pieces together to go out into the world. For Litte t, in particular, there was such a huge emphasis on the original score and live musician recordings - being a part of that process with Masha and Jenny was definitely a highlight for me on this film.

2. Can you talk about any particular technical aspect of the film that you are especially proud of, and how you achieved that result?

The colors and textures in Little t are very much a main character of the film in their own right. It was really important not to lose any attention to detail or vibrancy when preparing our varied delivery formats.... this was done through multiple render and grading checks to call out any comp fixes that were needed. And it shows in the beauty of the final piece.

3. How did your experience working on this animated short film differ from other film projects you've worked on in the past?

When I first came onto the project and Masha pitched her film to me, it was a concept I really resonated with. I think it is for a lot of people. That alone, paired with the beautiful colors and imagery made it such an important story to tell. Masha is also an incredible producer and director - she instills a lot of trust and inspiration in everyone she had working on this film. The whole production as I have been a part of it has been extremely fun.

4. What’s your favorite comfort food or desert?

Tres Leches!
